Well, hello again. This is Patti and you are on the Patti Talks Too Much channel on Rumble or on YouTube, and thank you for joining me again for an update on the question can I heal my arthritis naturally? And so what a couple of months it's been. I think it's been a good couple months since I last spoke to you and so much has been happening, not only in my healing journey, but obviously in our world, and one of the things that I was thinking about was how much all of what goes on in our world, how much that affects our health journey. No matter if we are trying to heal from something like arthritis or we're just trying to maintain good health. It's a mind, body, spirit journey, and all of these factors have an impact, and so a lot has happened over the last couple of months.

Speaker 1:

We've had an election that has been a huge deal in the United States, and there have just been so many things happening A lot of fear, stuff in the news that has really affected a lot of people. Just the other day, I was talking to my mom and she was like I've got to stop watching the news. It's keeping me up at night and she's not alone. I mean the people that I follow online. One of the things that's been a pretty consistent message that people have been picking up all over is that people are having more and more difficulty sleeping. They're more stressed out, so we have this really big shift. Of course we have, you know, those who did not support the current president-elect. There's a lot of teeth gnashing and hair pulling and meltdowns and so forth, so there's that which is in the extreme. But even those who support the current president-elect, there's still a lot of uncertainty. There's still a lot of things going on in the world having to do with war and peace and the economy peace and the economy. That's really making people continue to have that underlying dread feeling. And then, of course, we're coming into the holidays. We just had Thanksgiving. We're coming into the holidays and the holidays tend to be pretty stressful for people in general. So there's a lot going on, and so I wanted to give people an update on what that has looked like for me in the last couple of months and what it continues to look like my victories and some of my struggles.

Speaker 1:

So I am entering into the sixth month of my journey toward healing my arthritis. I have osteo and my doctor suspected I might have rheumatoid as well. So it might be a a double, double whammer for me, but I'm in. I'm entering into the sixth month of my journey toward healing this condition, naturally. So I do not take any pain medication, have not taken any pain medication and have not taken any of the medication that they prescribed for me. So basically, I let the rheumatologist know that I was going to take a different path in addressing my arthritis. So I am looking forward to in June when I meet with my regular doctor for my annual. I'm looking forward to seeing what my blood work looks like and what she thinks of my progress, given I haven't followed a single thing that she's told me to do. So that'll be an interesting conversation. I'm kind of looking forward to it.

Speaker 1:

So one of the things that was part of my journey initially was that there are foods that you know if you're dealing with arthritis, you've got to eliminate some things. You've got to eliminate some things from your diet that are just pro-inflammatory. You know these, these. You know things with liptins, you know like no tomatoes for me. So Italian food I'm Italian and Italian food is pretty much out, unless it's Italian food that doesn't have tomato. But then you know you're dealing with the other big culprit, which is wheat. So dairy also, people you know go back and forth about. I actually think that dairy can be a very positive healing aspect, but not the way dairy is produced currently. I'm a very big fan of raw milk products and that's one of the reasons why I'm thrilled about RFK Jr coming in and making some pretty dramatic changes in terms of our health care.

Speaker 1:

And just a sidebar about that, about our food. You know, like our food and health, our food and health I'm I'm absolutely thrilled because one of the things and this is a sidebar and I'll get to the foods that I eliminated and what I'm doing about it in a second but one of the things that has been clear and is clear to people who endeavor to start start making changes like, oh, I want to get healthier, or I've got this condition that I want to address in a natural way, and they start making changes. Or maybe I want to lose weight or I want to, whatever it is, I want to get healthier. So people start making those changes, they start eliminating things, they start adding things, they start taking supplements, they start doing all this stuff. And when you start going down that path and you start doing research and you start exploring things. Oftentimes what people will find is that if you are serious about getting healthy, the whole system is set up like one big minefield. System is set up like one big minefield.

Speaker 1:

It is very, very challenging to live a healthy life in America circa 2024. And that has been true for a while. So we do not have healthy air, we do not have healthy water, we do not have healthy foods, we have lots of poisons in our foods, our medicines are toxic. So everywhere you turn and almost every decision that you make regarding your health, there might be like a little minefield there, like, oh, I want to drink this healthy drink. And then you look more closely at the label or you do some research and you're like well, gee, this isn't really healthy at all. I want to eat more vegetables.

Speaker 1:

And then you find out, you know, you discover there are things like and then you find out, you know, you discover there are things like what is that? That Bill Gates product peel or something that gets sprayed on a lot more vegetables? Many like if they're not organic, they've been sprayed with horrible pesticides or they've got that awful coat of plastic that Bill Gates came up with, or they've been grown in soil that's dead. So one of the things that we're discovering is that the soil that much of our food is grown in is dead, and it's been dead for a while. So you grow vegetables in soil that's dead. You're not getting the nutrients that you think you should be getting because the vegetables were grown in dead soil, so our plants aren't getting the nutrients they need, which means that that transfers to us. So it is layer upon layer upon layer of toxicity in our environment.

Speaker 1:

So when you endeavor down this path to live a healthier life, one of the biggest things you discover is how hard that is. Our culture is not set up for us to live healthy lives at all. Like around every corner, I mean like, and so some of these things might seem pretty obvious. You know, like, well, liquor store around every corner and you know those kinds of things. You know liquor is poison, nicotine is poison and sugar is poison. Nicotine is poison and sugar is poison. And look at how much of our food has sugar or high fructose corn syrup. Look at how much of our food has artificial preservatives that turn out to be carcinogens, and so when you really start taking that, your health journey, seriously, you realize first of all that it's very expensive, that you it's really set up to be kind of out of reach, you know to. You know for ordinary people to live healthier and healthier lives, and so, like I said, there are layers and layers of minefields as we go.

Speaker 1:

And you know, I don't care if this sounds like I'm a conspiracy theorist, but this is really by design and you know, nowhere is that more evident than when you look at our life expectancy. Our life expectancy has gone down. It's the lowest. If you take the 20 top industrialized countries in the world, the United States has the lowest life expectancy. Those other countries, their life expectancy has been rising, ours has been falling. How is that? We're the richest country in the world, we spend the most on healthcare and yet we're the unhealthiest. So clearly things are set up. So clearly things are set up as kind of keeping us sick so that we can support a medical industry that makes money on our disease, not on keeping us healthy. If you are just beginning your journey in trying to live a longer life, a more vibrant life, a healthier life mind, body, spirit you have to almost approach it like a warrior no-transcript, because it is not set up to support you at this point. Now I'm hopeful that maybe RF Kennedy Jr will make some dramatic changes and we will see some sweeping changes in our food, our drugs, our water, etc. That will really support the health of our nation. But right now we are a very, very unhealthy nation.

Speaker 1:

So, that being said, I have just to get back to the foods. At the beginning, there are foods and you discover, like, whatever it is you're dealing with, there are certain foods that you should avoid. So you know, wheat was definitely one of them, and tomatoes. So you know I'm Italian, so it's like okay, no pasta for me. You know, and I kind of accepted that, though I am, you know, I do love bread and I was missing bread and I was also missing dairy.

Speaker 1:

So I decided to take matters into my own hands and I purchased a home mill so I could mill my own wheat berries and I learned how to make sourdough bread and other things, but mostly sourdough bread, and I use Angkorne wheat berries, organic Angkorne Now. Angkorne, that's E-I-N-K-O-R-N is an ancient grain and it is the version of wheat that has not been hybridized, so there have been no changes made to this over the thousands of years. So basically, the end corn that you mill and make bread with today is the same as it was thousands of years ago for people who used it to make bread then. And so what you find, what I find, because I'm using that berry, I'm milling my own, so there's no you know, there's no exposure to other things because I mill my own and I'm using, I'm going through the sourdough process that the combination of using this wheat berry and making sourdough bread as opposed to other like a yeast bread, has been something that has been body-friendly for me. The only thing is I have to just be careful how much I eat, because I really, really love it, but that's another issue. So I rediscovered bread, but I decided to go that way that I was going to mill my own flour for my bread, that I was going to use 100% organic and corn wheat berries, use 100% organic and corn wheat berries, and then I was going to learn how to make sourdough bread. And so I have, and that's been part of my process and it's been. It's been wonderful.

Speaker 1:

Now, another thing that I missed was dairy, so I wasn't eating any dairy and it's like I want to go back to eating some cheese, and so what I began to do? I looked for some local farms where I could get raw milk and I began to make a little weekly you know out on the weekend, going out and getting my raw milk. I started off with raw cow's milk and I switched. I discovered a goat farm and decided that I was going to switch over and do all raw goat milk. And that's been lovely, because part of my adventure is I get to go out and I've gotten to know the farmers on this farm. You know this small goat farm and of course I've met the goats and I get to talk to the goats, you know, pet the goats, and that it's a lovely overall. It's a lovely experience.

Speaker 1:

And what I'm doing with the goat milk every week is that I make goat cheddar and so I just learned how to make cheddar and so I'm making goat cheddar and of course you know it takes months to be able to enjoy your cheddar. So that has been a wonderful learning, that's been an educational process for me that I've really, really enjoyed. And in addition to the cheddar, I also make regular goat cheese, the softer rolled goat cheese, and that I can enjoy right away. So I have shifted that up so that I can enjoy A couple of the things that I missed, that I liked I missed, but I needed to approach it very differently. So the less I buy from the store and make myself, the better, and I think that's true for a lot of foods.

Speaker 1:

So I am, like I said, entering the six month of my process here and so much of it has had to do with detoxing and I think that people underestimate how much we need to detox. You look at yourself. It's like I look pretty good. Or maybe you go to the gym and you've got some muscles and you're like I'm fit, I'm good, but we don't realize how toxic we are. We don't realize how many toxins we've taken in to our bodies just by breathing or drinking water or eating regular food that we think is healthy but may not be One of the biggest issues in my opinion.

Speaker 1:

There are a couple Biggest issues in my opinion. There are a couple and I'll get into the other one. One of the biggest issues is heavy metals. We have far more heavy metals in our bodies than we think Now. Some of those heavy metals have gotten there through vaccines, but we breathe in heavy metals. Heavy metals have gotten there through vaccines, but we breathe in heavy metals. Some of the heavy metals come from all kinds of things in our environment and in our foods and in our water and we just are unaware. And so in these heavy metals really have a disruptive impact on our microbiome. So more and more doctors are saying it's all about your microbiome, it's all about your gut.

Speaker 1:

If you want to heal anything in your body, you've got to heal your gut, and this is true. So then people start, you know, they start eating the yogurt, they start doing these things, they start taking supplements and all of that, which is wonderful. Problem is is that if you have heavy metals in your body, chances are they're going to be in your gut, but they'll be all over too. They'll be in your brain. You know causes brain fog, whatever. Then no matter what you do, it's not really going to have an impact because those heavy metals are running interference. So the things that you're doing, you think you're doing this really, really great job and you don't realize how much you have heavy metals in your system and how much that's affecting or really interfering with and blocking some of your greatest efforts to get healthy. Because heavy metals, when they are present, it's very difficult for your gut to rebalance, for the bacteria to rebalance. For your gut to rebalance, for the bacteria to rebalance, you've got to detox the heavy metal before you start really seeing a difference.

Speaker 1:

And so I take a popular heavy metal. Detox is zeolite. So I take that and I've learned that once you start taking zeolite you think okay, well, I've been doing it. For a taking zeolite, you think okay, well, you know I'm doing, you know I've been doing it for a couple months. This should be good, because we are so we are kind of continually exposed to heavy metals. I would just keep doing it. I'm not stopping Like, I'm just going to keep doing it. I'm not going to say, oh, I'll do it for a couple months and that should take care of my heavy metal issue. No, I mean, it may have helped, but we just continue to be exposed. And so doing something as part of a daily routine to ward off heavy metals, to eliminate heavy metals and to really minimize heavy metals in your system is, unfortunately at this point, a necessary ongoing thing to do, just for health maintenance. So again, zeolite and you can do your research, but it's just, we just have to continue to detox heavy metals in our bodies. I heard recently that it's pretty bad in the United States, but it's worse in Canada. For some reason, canadians have a bigger problem with heavy metals than those of us in the United States. I'm not sure what that's all about, but generally we tend to be loaded with heavy metals, so that would be one of the the kind of like the first things you know, just detox, do, do what you can to detox heavy metals.

Speaker 1:

I think one of the things and I've mentioned this before one of the things that is present in all of us and our doctors don't like to admit it. My doctor even said, oh, that's an internet fad when I told her that I wanted to address parasites. We all have parasites and what they are discovering and what we are going to discover is very controversial is that more and more, we see that a lot of diseases, even cancer, some forms of cancer, could be related to parasites. Some forms of cancer could be related to parasites. So if you're hearing that for the first time, do some research, because we're, I think that we are on the edges of discovering some jaw dropping information, some research that's been done in other countries where they have made this connection, uh, between things like cancer and parasites.

Speaker 1:

So when we think of parasites, we think of, like, those really awful things that we've read about and heard about in like in like south sudan, you know, and you know, and you know where they have terrible drinking water and they have the most horrendous parasite conditions. That's those. Those are one set of parasites, um, but uh, and those are, you know, those would be like, you know, kind of the worst, but, um, we get exposed to parasites in all kinds of ways and, uh, you know so, because we don't have, uh, you know those kinds, you know, parasites kind of crawling out of our ankles and all of that kind of crazy stuff or making us go blind, you know cause it, you know what they call river blindness. Okay, so we don't, we might not have that in our country. It doesn't mean that we don't have a parasite problem. So, doing regular parasite cleanses really, really important, and what we're going to find out, I predict, is that in the coming months, in the coming year or two, we are going to discover that there's going to be a lot of things that come to the surface and hit the mainstream about how much.

Speaker 1:

Parasites have been an issue, continue to be an issue, and we need to address our parasite issues if we're going to get ourselves healthy. Again, parasites interfere, just like heavy metals. They interfere with our ability to kind of uptake any of those wonderful nutrients that you're trying to take in to get healthy. If we're loaded with parasites, then our body has a difficult time getting access to those things that chances are we're spending an awful lot of money on. We're spending a lot of money on our supplements and on all these changes that we're making, but if we're loaded with parasites and on all these changes that we're making, but if we're loaded with parasites, our efforts will fall flat. So, getting rid of heavy metals and doing parasite cleanses really really important and, again, ongoing heavy metal stuff, just keep it, because we're continually exposed.

Speaker 1:

And with parasites, what makes parasites so such a challenge is that you have mother parasites that you know lay like hundreds of thousands of eggs a day or whatever, and those eggs lay dormant until the mother dies and then there's a I don't know if it's a lack of a hormone or release of a hormone and then they hatch, and so I know this is really gross, but when you do a parasite cleanse. It's not a one and done situation. You literally have to do regular parasite cleanses so that you can, you know, get rid of whatever might be laying eggs and then get rid of the eggs. It's an ongoing process. So I'm entering the sixth month of my journey and I've done four parasite cleanses so far. I just, you know, just kind of regular, in between certain detoxes, I'll do a parasite cleanse, just to stay on top of that, on top of that.

Speaker 1:

So those are two things I think that people underestimate, and I'm mentioning it because there are a lot of people who are waking up to the need to take our health into our own hands and start making some changes. So, again, you can start making those changes, and you can. You know, your efforts can be valiant, but if you haven't detoxed, or if you're not kind of continuously detoxing heavy metals and parasites in your system, then your, your efforts will fall flat. But you know, you'll wonder why? Why aren't things getting better? So this is what I've discovered, and I think it's just really valuable. Now, how I'm doing is my condition is getting better, so my hands are. They do not have the swelling that they had before. I'm still, you know, not able to make a full fist in my hands, but I don't have the pain and the swelling in my hands that I did before, so I do feel that my condition is receding.

Speaker 1:

One of the things that people struggle with and one of the things that people struggle with and again this is one of those minefields is we have been culturized to expect that when we start taking something that will bring us in a particular direction for health, that we should see pretty immediate results. And the thing is is that when we I know that this is a minimum one year endeavor for me and I'm entering the six month. One year endeavor for me and I'm entering the six month. So have I seen progress? Yes, I have. Do I have a ways to go? Oh, yes, I do. Oh, yes, I do.

Speaker 1:

So I think that the mindset, one of the things, one of the challenges, is changing our mindset about these things. These things take time. You know these conditions. If you discover, oh, I have this condition or that condition and I want to deal with it with food and with supplements and with all of this. You know all these natural ways your body has gotten into that condition, sometimes over the course of decades, into that condition over, sometimes over the course of decades. And so to undo it is going to take a lot of effort. A lot of effort, a lot of patience, a lot of perseverance and a certain level of dedication and discipline is required to do this, which really flies in the face of how we've been taught to think about it. Oh, you're having a problem, take this pill, you'll feel better. Or, oh, you need to lose weight, just inject yourself with Ozempic and you'll lose weight like crazy. But we see what's happening with that.

Speaker 1:

So when you're addressing something, naturally you have to kind of adjust your mindset and it'll come up. You know those moments, even for me, those moments of frustration, and I'm like that's just. You know, that's just my old thinking. I can't think about this process in that way. You know, I have to be more patient and more loving of the process, and so it is an opportunity to kind of ease into it and practice self-care in a very different way. Because even when it comes to self-care, people will often it's like people will associate instant gratification with self-care too. And the thing is is a lot of self-care takes a while and you really have to be patient. And that patience and that perseverance and that discipline is really all part of the self-care and the self-love. Do we really care about ourselves enough to be patient in the process, to be gentle in the process, to be disciplined and to persevere in the process, or are we going to treat ourselves like we would a misbehaved child that we've grown impatient with? We have to change our mindset.

Speaker 1:

So these are some of the things that I discovered along the way. So my journey is going well. It is, again, not for the faint of heart. It does require a lot of effort, perseverance, discipline, but it is certainly worth it if you stick to it. And you know we discover things along the way. And you know we discover things along the way like.

This journey kind of got me to discover the joys of making sourdough bread and making my own cheeses, and how wonderful is that that I made this discovery. I had no idea when I was beginning this that I was going to discover these things. So you will discover things along the way, and there's more to say about that, but I think I've prattled on enough for today. So, all in all, it is encouraging. I encourage you to keep going in your journey and remember that self-care often looks like patience and perseverance and discipline, and discipline, and so I hope my journey inspires or encourages yours as well, and I'll be back in another month or so to give you another update.
