Staying Clean in a Toxic World

The toxicity of modern life isn't just physical—it's a full-spectrum assault on our bodies, minds, and spirits. Drawing from years of personal experience and healing journeys, I share practical wisdom for creating sanctuaries of wellness in an increasingly chaotic world.

This toxic "omni war" approaches from every angle—through processed foods, electromagnetic frequencies, negative media, and spiritually draining environments. For those aware enough to recognize it, we're clearly engaged in a spiritual battle regardless of our religious backgrounds. We're simultaneously navigating a dying paradigm while building bridges toward something better.

I break down my multi-faceted approach to staying centered: regular body cleanses that address parasites and deep toxins; energy-clearing practices like salt baths; creating sacred spaces in your kitchen and bedroom; mindful food preparation that infuses love into your meals; and conscious technology management to minimize harmful frequencies. These aren't just health tips—they're spiritual practices for maintaining sovereignty in challenging times.

Your home should be your fortress against external chaos. I explain how to transform key spaces into energy centers that nourish rather than deplete you. Learn why your kitchen carries the energetic legacy of the traditional hearth, why bedroom cleanliness affects your dream state, and how silence might be more healing than constant background noise.

We stand at a pivotal moment—perhaps humanity's "darkest before the dawn" or approaching a collective near-death experience that could trigger massive consciousness shifts. While we wait to see how this unfolds, these practical strategies help preserve our clarity and energy for the important work ahead: contributing to a more positive world even as the current one disintegrates around us.

What daily practices help you maintain your center in these turbulent times? How are you protecting your sacred energy while staying engaged with creating positive change?

Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome back. This is Patti with. Patti Talks Too Much, and today I'm going to talk about some of the things that I do to try to stay clean in a toxic world. Some of these things you might like and some of these things you'll be like. No, patty, I want to hold on to my toxic shit.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so we all agree for the most part that we live in a really toxic world, unless you're a super, super toxic person and you just think it's dandy. But most of us are increasingly overwhelmed by how toxic our world has become. So I'm going to go through some of the ways that I try to keep my energy field, my body, mind and spirit as clean and clear as possible. As you know, as I move through and you know, there are things that I don't do, that I probably should that other people you know that other people are doing, and then there are things that I do that other probably should that other people you know that other people are doing, and then there are things that I do that other people don't. So I think we all have to find our own rhythm, our own way of kind of staying sane and staying balanced and staying centered and staying pretty clear in a world that's increasingly toxic, and you really don't have to go far. The toxicity seeps into our homes, it's everywhere, and so we're kind of fighting. As Catherine Austin Phipps will say, it is an omni war, in that they're coming at us from just about every angle.

Speaker 1:

And I think, at this point, if you don't think that we're in a spiritual war, you know, and that this is a spiritual battle, then you know this just might not be a video for you. Spiritual battle, then you know, this just might not be a video for you. This may not be a podcast for you, because I'm coming at it with the, with the understanding that this is what it is. And it really doesn't matter, by the way, if you are Christian or spiritual, or what your religious bent is or what your spirituality is. If you are at all spiritually aware and are endeavoring to elevate your consciousness, then it is abundantly clear that that is a fight, that it is not something that is supported in our current paradigm. And so here we are, many of us wanting and yearning for that new world, for a world where we will feel more free and more abundant and more secure, and where love prevails and where integrity and all of these things are the norm again, and we don't want to give up on that vision of a new world. And so we find ourselves living in this chaotic, toxic world while building the bridge as we cross it towards something better.

Speaker 1:

Most of us who are awake and aware and are working on our own consciousness expansion want to participate in the creation of something new that we really want to be a part of, something down the road that is so much better than the way that we're living now, whether it's the educational system, the medical system, the political system, you have all of these systems that have completely failed us and and in some cases are in a complete free for all. I mean a free fall at at this point. So here we are in the midst of probably the most chaotic moment. They say the darkest before the dawn, I don't know, you know what. Or when a drug addict has to hit bottom before they can, or people who have a near-death experience, and then everything changes. I don't know if we're quite there yet, and I was just speaking to a friend just the other day and saying I don't know if humanity needs to have a near death experience in order to kind of have a dramatic shift in consciousness. I don't know, but if the universe decides that that's the kind of smack in the head we need, then that's probably what we're going to get. But in the meantime, those of us who are wanting and yearning and working towards something more positive, we are also living in the present and in the world that we're living in, as it's kind of coming apart and it's super, super chaotic and there is a lot of dense energy here that we're kind of navigating. So with that in mind, I'm just going to share some of the things that I do to and that I am doing, and I find that I keep adding to the things that I do and this, you know, I've been on this journey for many years.

Speaker 1:

When I owned my coffee house, I was very, very attuned to my energy, the quality of food and food preparation and was really generally appalled at the kind of energy that went on generally in restaurant kitchens. I was not a fan of Gordon Ramsay, I was like I wouldn't want to eat food out of a kitchen where there's that much screaming going on. So you know. And then I had my own health issues where I had to really go down the rabbit hole and do some serious cleansing to reverse my rheumatoid arthritis and really kind of work at it more aggressively. So I've been on this journey for a while and it's taken different turns and I've learned so much around every corner. I'm learning something new, but it's a lot.

Speaker 1:

At this point, and because things are getting so crazy out there and so chaotic and so toxic, I wanted to just share just a few of the things that I do keep myself balanced and sane and hopeful, you know, and healthy mind, body and spirit. Okay, so I will say you know right off the top that what has helped me in this last leg of my journey has been doing regular cleanses. A lot of times, when people are spiritual, they think that the body you know well, you know the body is the body. But really the most important thing is you know my spirit and I'm going to meditate eight hours a day and that's going to take care of everything. And our body is the vehicle that we chose to be in in this third dimensional world and it is the vehicle that we have and we need to take care of it. And also, our body is far more magical and mysterious, more than we ever could imagine. So it's an amazing vessel and it is capable of miraculous kinds of healing.

Speaker 1:

But we have to help it along because our bodies have been under attack and a lot of that comes from the food that we ingest and, of course, some of the medications that we take. Some of them we're forced to and some of them we take because we are very, very trusting of the medical system, which I think is changing rapidly now, especially in the last few years. People are like I don't know so much if I trust them. People are a little less trusting of their doctors, unfortunately, because you know, I mean, I think it's a good thing, because I think that doctors have become many of them are the mouthpieces for the pharmaceutical companies. You know that's where they make a lot of their money and unfortunately the solutions that are offered are pharmaceutical solutions. So regular cleanses so I'm talking colon, liver, deep tissue, those kinds of cleanses that really work to clean out our vital organs, and there are lots of different cleanses you can do I follow a particular protocol People historically, in the old days they would do seasonal cleanses.

Speaker 1:

So I highly recommend doing a regimen of cleanses, and that does include parasite cleanses, because I think that parasites are far more of an issue than we have been told of what ails us and unfortunately, the medical system has not done an adequate job in addressing that, so we have to address it ourselves. Basically, we have to take our health our physical health, our mental health, our spiritual health into our own hands. So are we going to continue to trust doctors and hospitals and schools, and, you know, even our churches and our priests and our preachers, for our spiritual health? Are any of them guiding us in the way that feels like it is the right way to be going? And so I think it's all being questioned now. And the thing is is that I think that collectively, we're being pushed to take it all into our own hands and take personal responsibility for every aspect of our lives our physical health, our mental health, our spiritual health and not be giving away our power to any entity or force outside of ourselves. Take back our power and our sovereignty and guide our own health in these areas.

Speaker 1:

So, regular cleanses, including a parasite cleanse. Regular cleanses, including a parasite cleanse as often as you feel you need to. I do regular parasite cleanses. I mean, if you're fairly healthy and think you don't really have parasites, you can do it twice a year, but that's all. Just that's part of what I do now.

Speaker 1:

Salt baths I salt baths, I love salt baths and I love salt baths because they clear our auric field and so when I owned a cafe, I used to take a salt bath every morning so that when I came into the kitchen my energy field was clear and I wasn't taking any kind of denser or negative energies into the kitchen with me when I prepared food. So salt baths are great at the end of the day, or I do it once a week at the end of a week on the weekend. It's a way I treat myself to kind of a cleansing, kind of relaxing bath, and that is with Epsom salt and baking soda, that combination, maybe an essential oil, if you want. So walking, you know, regular exercise and laughing, you know. When we talk about raising our vibration or our spirits, it's harder and harder to laugh. These days we have fewer reasons to laugh. But laughing is actually essentially kind of breaks us open a little bit to be able to kind of raise our vibration. So a lot of people who are talk about raising their vibration are often so serious about raising their vibration that they don't laugh, and laughing is, even if you watch a silly, stupid movie and you laugh, you are probably doing more to raise your vibration than someone who is very, very serious about raising their vibration. So just saying All right.

Speaker 1:

So toxins, toxins in the food. Listen, if you're still eating processed food, you really got to cut that out. That's like the number one thing. Like cut out the processed food, cut out the sugar. The sugar is not. Sugar is not your friend. Frozen pre-made foods. I've known vegans who are like well, we're really healthy, we're vegan, and most of the food that they ate was like prepackaged soy stuff that was frozen and they just kind of threw it on a tray and put it in the oven. Not healthy, not healthy at all.

Speaker 1:

Cooking your own meals, like I think, the more that we cook for ourselves, I think people need to return to the kitchen and start making our own food. Eating out is we're not getting food that's as healthy as the food that we would make at home, and we're also, you know, oftentimes people who work in restaurants and work in those kitchens are. There's a lot of dense, angry, angsty energy in those kitchens and so you're kind of taking that home and eating it. So I would, I would say on all fronts. You know, like mind, body, spirit, the cooking your own meals at home as often as possible is going to be healthier for your, for your body, for your, for your mind and for your spirit. And also I mean I. I mean I hate to, you know, hate to say that, because I know some of you are really attached to it, but alcohol is, is, is not helping us.

Speaker 1:

And here we are. We're living in a really, really stressed out world where we're feeling it. We come home at the end of the day or on the weekend and we just want to drink it all away and it's not serving us. At this point, and there are a lot of people who are feeling it, alcohol is not our friend and it puts us into a state of consciousness where we are vulnerable to denser energies. So you see that in bars, you see that a certain hour of the night, you know the end, the whole energy of the place shifts and, and I think personally that it has to do with entities that hang out and attach themselves to people as they kind of slip into inebriation. So I think alcohol makes us vulnerable to those kinds of denser, darker, more negative energies, and if we really want to keep our vehicle clean and clear, alcohol is not our friend. Sorry, yeah, I know that's a bummer.

Speaker 1:

The home I love talking about this because I think that this is so, so important. A lot of people don't really think that much about it. But, going back to cooking, the kitchen is an energy center. So a lot of people look at their kitchens as it's just. You know, that place I have to go and do stuff where I actually think if you can create a joyful environment in your kitchen, you will make joyful food. So you know, pictures on the fridge are always great, making sure that it is clean and pest free really, really important and that it's sunny, that it's bright and so that you enjoy going into the kitchen. No-transcript. Whatever you're preparing, you want to prepare with love, and so that is why the kitchen is an energy center for me. It's like that's where and you look, throughout history, the hearth is the heart of the home. The hearth was where the food was prepared, the soup was made. It is that heart of the home. So the kitchen is still that. It is an important energy center in our homes and a lot of times people don't relate to it like that at all.

Speaker 1:

I think with more and more people concerned about their health, they're returning to the kitchen and they're kind of all thumbs in there. They don't really know what to do. They hardly know how to cook because we've gotten so far removed. So one thing is to start experimenting with cooking. But also look at your kitchen and make it a place that you really like to be Put on some music, dance while you're cooking. Make it fun, right? Make it because you want to be joyful when you're making food, because it's about energy and that energy is going into the food and it is affecting you and your loved ones on a cellular level. So be conscious of the energy in the kitchen. That's really important.

Speaker 1:

I also think the bedroom is an important energy center. So a lot of times people just trash their bedroom. It's just my bedroom. I'll just close the door. Nobody's going to see the mess. You are, your spirit is, your heart is and this is where you go and you lay down to rest for the night and you enter into your dream world. You enter, it is your sleep. Time is sacred time and it also, if you have a partner, it is. You know as sacred. Your bed is sacred. So I'm a big proponent and making sure that the bed is always clean and it is always made, that the bed is always made and that the room is always clean and there aren't clothes all over it, because really, what does that do? That makes the statement that you know, this is also the place that we make love, so why would we trash the place we make love? So I think like we need to be really conscious of that, really conscious of how we treat our bedrooms, whether we're signal, signal, signal yeah, it's my signal Whether we're single or we're in a couple.

Speaker 1:

Um, the bedroom is a place where you know it should be peaceful, it should you. You should feel like when you enter into the bedroom it's like, ah, this is nice, it's peaceful, it feels like a sanctuary. You want your bedroom to be a sanctuary. So I do aromatherapy in my bedroom. I love, I love sandalwood, so I'll have that going in the bedroom. You know, I'll open up the blinds during the day, even if I'm not in there, so that the sun comes in, and I'm very minimalist, like I don't have a lot of things in my bedroom. It's very, it's very clean, it's very, but it's very clean. It's very, but it's very cozy and comfortable and and so it's welcoming and you know, and so you make you know. Clean the sheets with something you know. Make sure you have cotton sheets. That's another thing is like we should have cotton or linen sheets.

Speaker 1:

Know fabrics. Fabrics are really really important the fabric that we sleep on in, the fabrics that we wear right, the highest vibration fabrics are cotton, linen, wool, silk, so we should wear these and come in contact with these as often as possible. Hemp is also another fabric. That's really really awesome.

Speaker 1:

But in terms of the bedroom, it is another energy center and I know people think I'm really old fashioned when I say make your bed, but it really is important to have a neat and a tidy room in a bedroom. That is related to as a sacred space. You know that you are worthy of a sacred space when you go to lay your head down at the end of the day. Okay, so I know I've mentioned cleanliness already and really isn't about being a germaphobe or a neat freak. You don't want your home or any of the rooms in your home to feel sterile, but there is something to be said for the energetic impact of having a clean house. Denser energies are attracted to dirty places, you know. And again, our bedrooms should be kept clean so that the space is inviting to, you know, to positive, positive energies.

Speaker 1:

So moving along like when we go to sleep. We, you know we are in a vulnerable state. Right, we're going to sleep, we're entering the dream world, our consciousness is kind of off doing things right while our body rests and while it heals. For those who feel like they want extra protection in the bedroom to protect your dream space, I always recommend the three S's, which is silver, salt and sage, so you can burn sage, or you could make a packet with a little piece of silver, with salt and with sage. You can put it under your pillow. If you're concerned about nightmares and negative kinds of energies coming at you kinds of energies coming at you, some people feel that they're vulnerable to kind of spiritual attacks through their dreams or whatever, and if you're concerned about that, then you know that is something that people do to protect their dream time.

Speaker 1:

So here we are, you know, we're kind of looking at our homes and how to kind of protect the energy and how to keep the energy clean. You know, have your, our homes be a sanctuary in a toxic world, which means that we really have to look at, you know, is my home toxic? Are the vibrations in my home toxic? Now we can talk about the technology in our homes, because our homes are now loaded with technology that gives us all kinds of frequencies. There are some things to offset that. Salt lamps are. You know, those Himalayan salt lamps are good for keeping near technology, to kind of balance out the energy that's coming off of our technology. Shungite is also a wonderful protectant from those kinds of frequencies that come off of our technology. Shungite, that's S-H-U-N-G-I-T-E. It is a. It's like a precious stone, that is, it's black and it is found only in one place, in Russia. So I think it's associated with, possibly it's associated with possibly a meteor or something at some point, something that hit Earth. At any rate, shungite is a powerful protector for all kinds of energies that come off of our technology.

Speaker 1:

There are people who have to have the television on all the time at home, and if you are somebody who has difficulty with silence, then I would, you know, I would ponder that, because I think that when we are uncomfortable with silence in our home, there's something about that. What are we really uncomfortable with? It would be good to kind of lean into that and find out more about that. Why are we so uncomfortable with silence? It reminds me of an old Alanis Morissette song, but that would be good to explore because sometimes, because people have such a hard time with sitting in silence and they have to have, they have to be filling in that space with something. They fill it with things that are toxic.

Speaker 1:

So having the news on 24 seven and you know having it because I just need something in the background, you know your need to have something in the background is also an invitation for kind of these toxic kinds of energies coming in. I mean, what is positive or what is not toxic about the news, especially these days? It is nothing but toxic these days it is nothing but toxic. So I think me personally, I avoid the news altogether and only look at alternative things and only when I want to. But I will not listen to any news stations at all. I just think that it's just a continuous stream of mostly propaganda that is constructed in a way to hook us emotionally and to get us all fired up, all fired up, and that's toxic.

Speaker 1:

So I don't recommend that I don't actually have a television. There are some people who think, oh my God, I have to have a television. There are people who have a television in every room. I think that's just inviting in a whole lot of negative energy into your home If you have a television going on in every room. I hate to say it, because people love their televisions, but I don't think the television is our friend. I really don't. I don't think it's a friend of ours at all, and so I think that the television is probably at this point doing more damage than good.

Speaker 1:

So, to kind of limit the television, but also, if you are somebody who's listening to the television just because you need the background noise, I would just explore why it is that silence is so difficult. There's something about that that is worth exploring For me. You know, if I feel like music, I'll put on some jazz. You know I'll put on some classical. I'll put on some nice, you know, soothing music. That is like this really nice, pleasant vibe in the household. So we listen. You know it's important to be conscious of the kind of music that we listen to in our homes. What kind of vibe do we want to have in our home so people might listen to different music while they're cleaning the house. Something more poppy, more peppy, you know, and that's great In general. I know for me, when it's just like a relaxing Sunday afternoon, whatever, I'm listening to cozy jazz myself, so people that will listen to you know different things, whatever your home. If you have teenagers who really have to listen to their death, death metal or whatever, um headphones, because the whole house does not have to be subjected to that if they're going through their death metal phase, that's cool, all right, kind of. But headphones, yeah. So that's the. You know the kind of like the.

Speaker 1:

The whole point that I'm making is you know, our, our homes need to be sanctuaries. They need to feel like safe places where we come and they're pleasant and they're clean and they smell good. And you know there's, maybe there's aromatherapy going on, maybe there's, you know there's food cooking in the kitchen, but it smells good, it feels good, it's comforting, it's home. We need that more than ever now. So I think, being really conscious of our homes and looking around, look around and say, well, how can I raise the vibration of my own? They're plants. I love plants. So, having plants in your home, they are alive. Plants are also sent, you know, sentient beings. They have their own consciousness and they contribute to the energy of a home. So I always think plants are a wonderful addition to to a home.

Speaker 1:

When we, you know and I have to just say I kind of have to, yeah, I have to say something about it, and that's porn. So if we're talking about television, we're talking about the things that we're consuming. It's been shown that it is not our friend. It's been really normalized. A lot of people have gotten addicted to it. But it is a dark hole. It's no pun intended, really, but it is, um, it leads you to dark places and theimy and um, and it really I think it debases our own sacred sexuality, if you will, and so, and I think that that's been by design. I think we've been fooled. I think it was a trap, you know, um, and so people have fallen into the porn trap and they can't get out. They're addicted. That's a problem and that is a big indication that it was a trap in the first place. If you start messing with porn and you can't stop, you're in a trap and it's a psychic trap and it's dark and it ruins relationships and it ruins sexual performance and it does so much damage. So that's just one of those things where, like, if you've got that going on the screen screens in your, your home, it's just filling your home with that kind of vibration. So it's just something to rethink.

Speaker 1:

So, again, just all kinds of ways that the toxicity of our world is seeping in to the inner sanctuaries of our lives, in the most sacred places, and those are the things that we have to really, you know, be aware of. I mean, we go out and we're on our commutes and we're dealing with people, with road rage. There's just this overabundance of toxicity on the road. You go into your public spaces and you see it. You see it in the public places, you see it in the stores, right? People just losing their minds, right, people just losing their minds. So there is a lot of toxicity in our world and I do think that you are having, having a home that's a sanctuary, and being conscious of our own energy field and what we can do to protect it and to preserve it, is really, really important.

Speaker 1:

So these are all of the different things that that I I do and don't do to preserve my, to preserve my, my energy field, and I, you know, hopefully I've shared something that is helpful to you. I hope so. There are so many things and this is just like I said. There are folks who do a lot of other things that I don't like. I'm not a big meditator, right. I do contemplation I do, I have. I talk to my, you know, I talk to. I sit in my rocking chair and talk to my guides or whatever. I have my own little thing, but meditation is a wonderful thing. Going for regular massages, going to a float tank, those are things that are wonderful to help from a toxic world. So so many things.

Speaker 1:

So, again, these are just the things I do. Hopefully it was helpful and in some way, to give you something to think about. But again, I think about it a lot. I think about how crazy our world has become and I am always, always thinking how can I ramp up my efforts to protect my own energy field and to keep myself centered during a time that's really become more and more chaotic, so that I can do my part to contribute to a more positive world while I'm dealing with, you know, one world that's falling apart, to have the energy and the focus and the clarity to create and to contribute to another world, and so that's kind of what I'm doing on a day-to-day basis to help me along the way. So hopefully this was helpful. This is Patti with. Patti Talks Too Much. Have a wonderful week, ciao.
